Insoo Kim Berg July 25, 1934 - January 10, 2007
Insoo died peacefully, in Milwaukee on January 10th. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause of death. They are continuing tests to find out what happened.
She had gone to the gym to exercise and afterwards went into the steam room. She laid down and peacefully passed away. Insoo, of course, was working right up until the end.
Insoo has had enormous impact on the psychotherapeutic community. She had absolute belief and confidence in the strengths and abilities of the individual person, and affected everyone she came into contact with in profound ways both personally and professionally Insoo's impact on the psychotherapy community was great, and wide.
Memorial services are pending. There will be one memorial service at "Building Solutions with Children, Youth & Family" Conference in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on May 21 and 22. (Their website is: http://www.solutions-centre.org) The website also has a condolences page for people to leave their thoughts.
She is survived by her daughter Sarah, daughter-in-law Amy Underberg, sister CJ Kim, brother in law Marshall Perlman, brothers Haksoo, Taiksoo and Hunsoo Kim and their wives along with many nieces and nephews. She finally joined her beloved Steve.
